Greg and I went to the BYU basketball game against Utah last week and watched one of the best games I've been to in a while. Air Force a couple of years ago brings up good memories of the entire family being there when Redick was probably 4 or 5 months old and screaming whenever the crowd got loud. He screamed a lot that game.
(for the record, possibly the best dunk I've ever seen at a BYU game happened that game)
Anyway, the line to get seats for the students wrapped around the building. There were probably a good 5,000 people in line to get a seat. For students, it's GA, so first-come, first-served. Greg went down early Saturday morning and got a place in line. We actually got pretty good seats.
I tried to take a picture of the line. The picture doesn't do it justice:
Here's the commotion before the game (a Utah fan getting kicked out of the BYU student section):
The first half was really boring and BYU was down by 2 at halftime. It really got exciting and loud about 4 minutes after the half when Jackson Emery hit a 3 to put BYU up by 2 (or 1, I can't remember). Then Lee Cummard stuffed 7'2" Neville and the place was rocking. I have never heard it so loud in my life. It was a fun game.
